About High Meadow Skin Cream

Did you know that lanolin is a great emollient? A sheep’s skin has pores that produce oils to hydrate the surface of the body. These oils, called lanolin, have a deep moisturizing effect on human skin. It locks existing moisture into the skin and absorbs additional moisture from the air around it.

Shady Hill Farms, maker of High Meadow Skin Care, is a sustainable family sheep farm located in Newbury, Ohio. Our 52 acre farm with two flocks of sheep are Polled Dorset and Suffolk has been in continuous operation for over half a century. From our flock, we use lanolin for our skin care products and send the wool to weavers.

We use the finest quality lanolin in our lotions to help combat extremely dry skin, chapped lipped and for chapped nipples caused by breast feeding. Since we own two flocks of sheep we get the lanolin directly from our farm to formulate this wonderful product.
